Our Story
Rockin' Horse Jerky company started one day when I decided to make jerky from some deer meat that was taking up some space in the freezer. My grandfather had a small dehydrator that he was no longer using. So I took a chance, made a recipe, and hours later I had my first batch of deer jerky. The flavor was good and hot ,and I thought well I'll post on my social media and see if any of my friends or family would be interested in buying some and I could make me a buck. I bagged it up and called it Hot Blood Jerky. It sold quickly and when the demand continued. I decide to make beef jerky. I took over my mothers kitchen with several dehydrators , trays , and ingredients . Couple of weeks later We change the name to Rockin' Horse Jerky Co. since the rocking horse is actually my cattle brand. We had our first large event at the West of the Pecos Rodeo it was a great success. We moved into a store front in June of 2021. We now have branded hats, shirts, koozies , and freshies. We look forward to the future! Thanks to Family, Friends, Customers who support the brand.
